The forecast called for rain all week. Showers threatened on the Sunday morning of Memorial Weekend, but then the skies miraculously cleared for Michelle & Jon’s beach wedding! After seven years together, they celebrated the next adventure on the edge of Lake Superior. These two have done it all: Long distance, crazy travel adventures, moving across country, dog-parenting, and currently living it up in Duluth’s un-official sister city of Portland, Oregon.

Michelle & Jon hold travel dear to their hearts: From venturing around Costa Rica during Jon’s stint as a kayak guide, to exploring the abundant gorgeousness of the PNW, to honeymooning in Tahiti as we speak (P.S. I’m way jealous of your sweet beach bungalow, guys!).

True to their spirits, Michelle & Jon’s wedding day was a perfect balance of chill and festive (and goodness knows I love a wedding party that can laugh with me AND at me when I trip over driftwood!). They began the day in a bohemian beach rental house on Duluth’s Park Point, then ventured down to Park Point Beach House for the outdoor ceremony. Later on, they hopped on a retro Voyageur bus for some shenanigans. Mind you, what happens on the party bus normally stays on the party bus, but you get a little sneak peek of the whiskey-champagne-Canal Park-dance party antics. And of course, in my book, any day that ends with bare feet in the sand is a win! Cheers to these friends in their next adventure – so much love for you + your fabulous crew of family and friends!
