Ever heard the term “meet-cute?” If you’ve seen the movie The Holiday, you might know what I’m talking about! It’s a fictional scene in which a future romantic couple meets for the first time in a way that’s considered adorable, entertaining, or amusing. Well, turns out, my couples specialize in non-fictional meet-cutes! This is real life, friends. Meet Katie & Matt.
In the words of beautiful bride-to-be Katie, here’s the scoop on their meet-cute:
“On New Year’s Eve 2013, we met at the ever-so-classy Wild Bill’s in Apple Valley, MN. After having quite a few drinks, I was given a very feathery pink masquerade mask by a friend. Being appalled by it’s color, I looked around and tapped on the shoulder of this tall man to my right, ushered him closer to me and put the mask on his face, told him he looked beautiful, and then sauntered off. Apparently this gentleman had been trying to get my attention since then, and on our way to the restroom he grabbed my hand and asked me if we were leaving already. Looking into those beautiful hazel eyes must have done me in, because I grabbed his face, smooched him, and I haven’t stopped since!”
Katie & Matt’s engagement session was on one of the coldest days of the winter (like 20 below zero). They were such troopers, and even shed their outer layers for a short spell — can’t mess with those hardy Minnesota genes!
