Hey, you! So happy you’re here! I’m guessing you stumbled in here looking for a wedding photographer, and you found one! Yay! But I’ll let in on a little secret: I do more than photograph weddings (more on that in a minute!).
First, I’m Chelsea, Associate Photographer for Bailey Aro Weddings. I live in Duluth, MN with my husband Jordan, our energetic toddler Jameson, and our two rambunctious dogs. When I’m not out capturing love stories, you can find me hiking the SHT, hiding new candles & coffee mugs from Jordan, and sipping (chugging) iced coffee while dreaming up another ambitious DIY project for our home.
Naturally, my heart beats fast for rustic, elegant weddings in the gorgeous northwoods. To ensure my couples get the most heartfelt, handcrafted experience, I serve a select few couples each year. I always tell my couple that you need to trust your photographer 110%, because that’s when the real magic happens! It’s how I’m able to capture real, raw, full-of-life images that you’ll love more with each passing year. Curious if I’m your girl? Keep reading!
Your wedding day is a big deal: It’s a new chapter, but when the cake is cut, the dress is hung, and the flowers have dried, you start the real adventure: Marriage. Your wedding day is just beginning! Marriage isn’t always easy; it takes work, but in the end, you’ll be doing life with your person, and that’s what matters most. It’s my mission to help you focus on the bigger picture & remember why you’re planning this big celebration in the first place.
This might seem obvious, right? But we’ve all heard wedding day horror stories from girlfriends & neighbors & our aunt’s best friend about how the caterer was late, someone forgot the rings, and the weather was horrible. Society tells us that brides are supposed to be high strung, controlling, and stressed on their big day. But girl, it’s just not true! You want to relax on your day, go with the flow, and create lasting memories. As your photographer, I’ll help you create a wedding day timeline that ensures you can stay fully present and embrace every moment of your day, from morning mimosas while getting ready with your gals, to a sunset stroll after dinner, so you can both breathe & reflect on your amazing day. My job is to be a calming presence, keep things running smoothly, and capture all the moments, both big + small!
You guys are forging your own path, whether that means having three of your friends officiate your wedding, serving breakfast for dinner because it was your first meal as a couple, or walking down the aisle with both of your parents (or a fur baby!). You believe wedding day traditions should speak to your soul & reflect who you are as a couple!
You’ll happily trade your wedding shoes for hiking boots to find the perfect portrait location. You’re not afraid to get your dress hem a little dirty if it means venturing to the woods or lakeshore with your soulmate. Strolling through the fields, paddling down a river, or sharing a fave beverage under the tall pines? You’re so there.
Not only do you want to celebrate each other and your marriage, but you want to celebrate all the people who’ve supported you along the way. Whether it’s your bestie who convinced you to go on the blind date, your grandma who told you “they’re the one!”, or your mom who comforted you after that first fight. They were your rocks when things were tough! You can’t wait to celebrate the day with them and thank them for their continued support and love.
Does the above resonate with you? Did your heart skip a beat & did you think “Eee, this sounds like us!” If so, let’s connect! I’d love to see your faces & hear your love story.
