Your Name: Chelsea Dobs
Your Team Role: Associate Wedding Photographer
Your three-sentence bio. Ready, go!
Lover of tall pines, peanut butter, and eucalyptus. Boy mom & dog mom. Married to a tall glass of water that tries to keep me from hoarding too many candles.
Where are you from?
I’ve been in Duluth for almost 10 years, so I think I’m allowed to say I’m from here now!
How did your photography journey begin?
My love for photography started out of the blue two years ago after we lost our first baby. I needed something to preoccupy my mind and to keep me busy. I never thought it would come to this or become my dream, I just thought I could maybe take some nice pictures of my dogs.
What is your idea of the perfect day off?
Any day that I get to spend with Jordan (tall drink of water from above) and Jameson (My son, not the whiskey) is a good day. Also tacos. And terrible, embarrassing reality TV that I would never admit to watching in public.
What is your favorite part of a wedding day?
I can only choose one?! I think one of my favorites would have to be the moments right before the first look. I can see the bride and groom both looking nervous and excited. And then there’s usually tears (usually from me), but those are the quiet & intimate moments between couples that I love.
What are three things you simply can’t live without?
Besides my favorite humans and hair balls (dogs): Bread, bobby pins, & my pillow.
Share a little-known fact about yourself:
This is really boring: I can’t whistle.
What are you most excited about for the coming year?
I think I’m most excited about meeting and getting to know so many new couples, it’s always an honor when someone invites me to be a part of their big day and trusts me to document it for them to look back on in 60 years.
