If you’ve spent any time in Minnesota, you know about those idyllic September days. You know, where the sun warms your skin, and winter still seems a million miles away? Welcome to Linnea & Andy’s wedding day in Bemidji! Honestly, I don’t think there’s anything better than a good ol’ backyard wedding. Held at Linnea’s parents’ home on the edge of a creek, their celebration felt relaxed & effortless, like a north woods summer day. There was an outdoor ceremony amid the trees, a Scandinavian barn, lefse for dessert, and of course, Milly the Goldendoodle. Perhaps my favorite moment was the most epic ceremony entrance of all time. A week before the wedding, Linnea called to tell me about the master plan…

“So, my dad’s walking me down the aisle, but he’s actually driving me…in the tractor…and I’ll be…how should I say this? In the tractor bucket. But no one knows about it!”

When they were youngin’s, Linnea’s dad would drive them around in the tractor bucket, so it only seemed fitting. In the images, what you can’t hear is the transition from flowy wedding music to  “Ridin’ Dirty” when the tractor came around the corner. And the best part? Not a soul knew about it! That’s the beauty of Linnea & Andy; they’re the most lovable goofballs, who know how to make a day that’s meaningful, relaxed, a little bit quirky when you least expect it. Let’s just say my cheeks hurt from laughing all day!
