It all started at a bar, but it wasn’t your typical meet-cute: She was mixing drinks; he stayed late to chat. When her shift was over, they ventured out for late-night pizza and a stroll on the Lake Walk. The rest, I’ve been told, is history. Kristine is like your bubbly best girlfriend, who loves on you with her whole being (I miss our bear hugs & girl talks!). Luke has a warm, inviting spirit (and a twinkle of mischief in his eye) and together, these two not only share chemistry between them, they’re also a magnet for others.

In June, they tied the knot at Minnesota National Golf Course, with its rolling greens, winding paths, a hidden barn, and even a giant dock on Flowage Lake. Theirs was a record-setting day for happy tears, most notably when the couple shared vows with Luke’s daughter, and when Kristine’s dad being was in good enough health to walk her proudly down the aisle & dance with her late into night. And let’s be real: I may be quietly weeping that I don’t have constant access to Minnesota-shaped rhubarb pies (that’s a food group, right?).
